Eight years as I Photo Central, LLC; 11 years as Vintage Works, Ltd.
What is your primary product or service?
The website sells art and historically important photography and photography books.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have over 30 years experience in the photography-collecting arena. Contemporary Works/Vintage Works is a member of the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD). I am a founding member and currently on the J. Paul Getty Museum's Photography Council.
I have been a member of the board of the non-profit Photo Review, based in Langhorne, PA, which publishes both the Photo Review and the Photograph Collector, and I am currently on its advisory board.
I have published numerous photography articles and columns in several newspapers, the Photograph Collector, Focus magazine and the Daguerreian Society Newsletter. I have also been interviewed extensively for profiles on our companies by Photographie Internationale, Photo District News (PDN), Black & White magazine, NY Art magazine, Art News, Eyemazing and Photography New York (now Photography). I also write and publish the E-Photo Newsletter, the largest circulation newsletter in the field, with a direct distribution of over 5,000. I am CEO of the company that owns the multi-dealer I Photo Central web site. I have been quoted on photography and the market by numerous publications, webzines, books and blogs, including New York Art magazine, Photo District News (PDN), Art Critical, Art Business News, the Art Newspaper, Focus magazine, Black & White magazine, the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Maine Antique Digest, Antiques & the Arts Online and the Photograph Collector.
