How long have you been in business?
Famous Dave's opened its first restaurant in Minneapolis in June of 1995. Famous Dave spent 25 years perfecting America's favorite styles of barbeque, like our hickory-smoked ribs and Georgia chopped pork slathered with our own Rich & Sassy® BBQ sauce. We've won hundreds of national and regional awards - including Philadelphia City Guide's "Best BBQ" in 2006, 2007 and 2008, "Best Ribs" in South Jersey in 2007 and 2008, and Philadelphia Business Journal's "#1 Caterer"
What is your primary product or service?
America's favorite styles of barbeque, like our hickory-smoked ribs and Georgia chopped pork slathered with our own Rich & Sassy® BBQ sauce. Our menu also features smokin’ sandwiches, mouthwatering burgers, garden fresh salads and homestyle desserts all served up in a casual, down-home atmosphere with toe tappin’ blues.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Famous Dave’s does barbeque and we do it right, featuring our hickory-smoked barbequed meats and chicken. We sneak in a few salads and such, includin’ tasty beans and corn muffins, and desserts you can’t say “no” to.

Our franchise group includes 6 locations in the Philadelphia, south Jersey and Delaware areas.

Famous Dave’s has won over 650 awards for our food and our company. We’ve worked hard to earn titles ranging from “Best BBQ Ribs” over 50 times to the famous Silver Plate Award given to “foodservice operators who epitomize the best of class.” The best compliment we can receive is that our awards are well deserved because we have the best barbeque anywhere.
