How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I worked for a Fortune 500 Manufacturing Company with 80 diverisified manufacturing plants in 37 different states and realized all the states salses and use tax rules and regulations varied greatly. As a result, there was opportunity to recover overpaid state and local taxes and also educate companies to prevent large audit assessments as well as penalty and interest.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We specialize just in Sale and Use Tax nationally. We have experience in every industry: manufacturing, retail, hotels, casinos, printing, plastics, food, berage, banks, insurance, steel, etc. Our auditors are made up of Attorneys, CPA's, former State Auditors, etc. We all have multi-state experience and have worked together for over 15 years. Unlike accounting firms, at ARS, you'll deal with the same Managing Auditor for years who will know and understand your business. In addition, we don't take any of our clients staff time. We do all the work.
